1985

 

Magus Electronics was founded

 

1986

 

Introduced laser assembly work stations for rapid, accurate assembly – designed in house

 

1987

 

Magus launches its first Vibration Monitor for the quarry industry

 

1989

 

Magus launches the world’s first Type 1 Noise and Vibration Analyser for Civil engineering

 

1990’s

 

1990’s Magus starts its first apprenticeship programme to train staff to NVQ level 4 Soldering and assembly

 

1995

 

Awarded Finalist and heat winner in the Flying start Business Enterprise challenge 1995

 

1998

 

Smart award winner 1998-1999

2000

 

Introduced the very latest Pick and Place systems to cater for very large quantities

 

2010

 

Introduced full LEAD FREE Assembly line

 

2011

 

All Magus products are transferred to our sister company SureWave Technology to enable Magus Electronics to focus solely on the sub contract customer.

 

2014/2015

 

Magus Certified to ISO:9001 accreditation by UKAS.

 

2015/2016

 

Record turnover creates expansion and investment in the very latest equipment to support our growing customer base.

 

2017/2018

 

Our Design department continues to work on new innovative projects, whilst our manufacturing division use new technology to support our Quality commitment to large volume orders.  

 

2019

 

Investment in staff training and development further enhances our continuous improvement methods within the manufacturing division. Our team continues to grow with our success.

 

2020/2021

Despite the Covid-19 Pandemic, the design team receive an increase in enquiries for new electronic projects. The Assembly team continue to manufacture PCB Assembly for key industries. Magus introduces shift patterns, safety features and barriers to comply with social distancing to keep employees safe.

2022

Growth from design enquiries leads to an increase in PCB and Product Assembly. Our team welcome new recruits to meet this demand and enhance our manufacturing experience.

2023

IPC-A-610 training is carried out across our manufacturing division. Our HR Manager joins the Manufacturing Alliance to promote and network for continuous improvement across the industry.
