Our customer, a UK based guitar pedal manufacturer, approached Magus Electronics to help provide solutions for their PCB assembly requirements. Their vintage style effects pedals are supplied worldwide to a client base ranging from guitar enthusiasts to well-known famous guitarists. With this in mind quality and reliability were of utmost importance.
Attention to detail
We met with the customer to establish exact requirements and listen to any previous challenges affecting their production. Main concerns were raised regarding quality issues with soldering, through to PCB reliability and the general cleanliness of assembled boards. With previous experience completing high end quality products, we understood the need for a sustainable solution and were well equipped and ready to fulfil these requirements.
Listening to the customer’s specification our procurement team worked with trusted suppliers to source high quality components including hard to find MELF packages, providing high performance accuracy and long term stability across the circuit board. Further desired criteria included vibrant PCB colours to match the outside housing on the finished product and we provided a variety of options to suit whilst still maintaining the integrity of the PCB.
Efficient and Precise
Our fully automated systems efficiently assembled the boards, with each PCB undergoing full quality checks and final inspection. Assemblers meticulously inspected PCB’s for quality solder joints and correct orientation of components. PCB’s were thoroughly cleaned to remove all traces of contamination, these measures ensured compliance to level 3 of the IPC-A-610 electronics standards.
The completed order was packaged up and delivered on time and in full.
